Telford MP holds resident surgery in Telford town centre.

Shaun Davies, Member of Parliament for Telford, has held his latest resident surgery this afternoon in the town centre.

The event, held from 3pm to 5pm, gave residents a chance to meet and speak directly with their MP, either in person or on the phone. It was a key opportunity to raise any issues or offer any ideas they may have to improve their area. Topics discussed today included employment and training, NHS services, housing and planning, and education.

Shaun commented “Thank you to those who took the time out of their day to attend today’s surgery. These sessions allow me to hear directly from residents on key issues that matter most to them.

The importance of having these conversations is unmatched, they guide my work in Parliament and work towards continuing to make Telford an even better place”

On the event, Cindy, a resident in Telford, said “It was fantastic to meet my MP for the first time ever today. I’m a new resident of Telford, and it was important for me to speak to Shaun, who was very approachable.

MPs are usually seen as being active in Westminster, but it is fantastic to have the opportunity to meet Shaun here in Telford. If you have something to raise, I’d say go for it. I didn’t know what to expect.”

This year Shaun has held a range of community activities from surgeries and coffee mornings to street surgeries and roundtables, right across Telford.
